    Meet The Designer

    John Tree

John Tree is an award-winning product and furniture designer based in London, UK. His inventive work is defined by exploring and pushing industrial processes in search of an economy of form that drives flexibility and longevity.

John Tree's designs are recognized for their simple ingenuity. Focusing on a few materials in one construction reveals something about how it is made. They are easy to understand and use, intuitivley enjoyable objects. He extended this principle to the extendable table, paring it back to its essence, wood.

On Earnest Extendable Table John Tree "Solid wood gives it a continuation. It feels like a story that isn't finished. As you add the extension, inviting more people to the table, the story carries on."
John Tree "A table tends to be the heart of any space. The middle of the house, but also the family or a company of people. It is the epicenter, physically and emotionally. Today we use the table for much more than meals. The functionality has become different, and it is interesting to see how well the table has responded to that."
    • A Muuto setup featuring a Two-Layer pendant in grey, paired with an Earnest table in dark oiled oak. The setup includes a Ridge vase in white frosted glass, a Fiber chair with Acca 731 upholstery, and a Ply rug in off-white made from recycled polyester. The combination of modern furniture, elegant accents, and soft textures creates a stylish and inviting space.
