Product Material
The tabletop is available in lacquered MDF with black nanolaminate top or lacquered MDF with a linoleum top, or FSC™-certified (FSC-C028824) solid oak, treated with either a clear or dark oil. Nanolaminate tabletops are also made using FSC™-certified (FSC-C028824) wood. The table base is made of powder-coated steel with a protective rubber ring under it. Steel is an alloy of iron and carbon. Powder-coated steel has a subtle, textured expression and elegant feel while adding durability to the design and making it more corrosion- and chip-resistant.
Powder Coated Steel
Steel is an alloy of iron with carbon. Powder coated steel has a subtle, textured expression and elegant feel while adding durability to the design and making it more resistant to corrosion. Powder coated steel is also highly chip resistant.
Oiled Oak
Oak is a traditionally Scandinavian material with durable abilities against factors such as water and fungi alongside a high level of strength, giving it long-lasting properties fit for furniture.
Care description
Clean often and carefully with a soft and dry cloth following the grain pattern. Periodically, clean with moist cloth. For long term care, it is recommended that the tabletop is treated 2-3 times a year with special oak wood oil on both top and bottom of tabletop that assists with making the wood resistant to stains and fluids. The wood should not be exposed to excessive humidity, heat or direct sun light.
Linoleum: Clean the tabletop with a damp cloth. If necessary, only use a mild detergent or washing-up liquid; never concentrate. Always wipe with a dry cloth afterward. To minimize the risk of stains and marks, liquid, grease, etc., should be removed immediately.
For linoleum versions, linoleum care is recommended 2-3 times a year for optimum saturation of the natural material. Clean the base with a microfiber cloth to avoid scratching the high-gloss lacquer. Use a small amount of mild dish soap on the cloth if necessary.
Solid Oak and Dark Oiled Oak: Upon receiving your table, we recommend that the top and bottom be treated with a special oak wood oil, improving its resistance to stains and fluids. We also recommend you continue caring for the product by repeating this treatment 2-3 times yearly. For products in Solid Oak, we recommend using a tabletop oil with a small amount of white pigment, suitable for food applications*. We recommend using a smoked tabletop oil suitable for dark-oiled oak products for food applications*.
Avoid placing the table in the immediate distance of a heat source. Do not place hot or wet objects directly on the table; they can leave a mark on the top. Metal objects can leave a mark if left on the table for extended periods. Spills should be removed immediately to avoid discoloring. Clean the tabletop often and carefully with a soft and dry cloth, following the wood grain pattern. The product should not be exposed to excessive humidity, heat, or direct sunlight.
Clean the base with a microfibre cloth to avoid scratching the high-gloss paint. Use a small amount of mild dish soap on the cloth if necessary.
