With a refined and modern expression, the Twine Cushion—designed by Copenhagen-based sustainable designers Aiayu—has an invitingly tactile character with distinct knitted pebbles, joined by the softness of its baby llama wool material. The wool of its outer has been sustainably sourced in Bolivia with the factory cleaning 100% of its water post-production while reusing 75% of it. The factory also holds the WRAP-certification, ensuring production under lawful, humane and ethical conditions.

: Product Material
The pillow case is made from 100% baby llama wool, the inner sham is 100% cotton and the filling consists of 50% feather and 50% polyfiber.

The front of the pillow case is hand-knitted with a characteristic pearl knit structure. Back in one-color knit, knitted on a 14-gage machine in 2/24 x 1 ply yarn.; 100% Baby Llama Wool
For the Aiayu for Muuto Products:

The Aiayu for Muuto products—the Layer Cushion, Rhythm Throw, Twine Cushion and Ample Throw—are made in baby llama wool, describing the highest quality of llama wool with the word “baby” referring to the inherent softness of the llama wool.

The llamas from which the wool is sourced walk freely in flocks with their herders in the Bolivian highlands. The llamas are owned by multiple families who identify their llamas by the colored tassels on the llama’s ears. Once the hair of the llama has reached the desired length, the llamas are sheared to obtain the raw fiber for the baby llama wool—this happens about twice a year as it takes roughly six months for the hair of the llama to naturally regenerate to once more.

: This product is made from 100% baby llama wool - a self-cleaning fiber that requires less washing than other materials. Simply air your product at first. If the need to wash it arises, hand wash is recommended at 30 degrees C using high-quality soap. Soak the product in water for 10 - 15 minutes before rinsing it.
